Sammy: What do you want, honey?

Jason Gideon: Oh, something flowery.

Sammy: Flowery. Okay, well, help me out here.

Jason Gideon: Purple?

Sammy: Purple.

Jason Gideon: Uh, maybe-maybe not purple. Uh-

Costumer: Come on, man.

Jason Gideon: More of a mix of something. Um...

Costumer: You're killing me here. Make up your mind.

Jason Gideon: Just back off, pal.

Aaron Hotchner: What did I do?

Jason Gideon: I wasn't talking to you. I guess roses.

Aaron Hotchner: Are you on a date?

Jason Gideon: No, uh, hold on- hold on the roses, will you?

Aaron Hotchner: And you didn't tell me?

Jason Gideon: Tell you what? I'm not on a date. I'm just buying flowers.

Aaron Hotchner: For who?

Jason Gideon: Old college friend. Hotch, tell me something. Do roses say the wrong thing?

Aaron Hotchner: What do you want to say?

Jason Gideon: Welcome, hi, good to see you, sorry I'm so damn late.

Aaron Hotchner: Uh, roses say more than that.

Sammy: Face it, buddy. You want some action, it's the roses.

Aaron Hotchner: She's right.

Jason Gideon: Do you have a yellow flower- they're like, um- they're little yellow flowers. They look like Dandelions or like weeds, but they're not weeds. They have a little black spot in the middle. But they don't have a black spot, they're sort of round and puffy.

Sammy: Button mums.

Aaron Hotchner: Do you have those? Can I see what those look like?

Costumer: It's a date.

Jason Gideon: I'm not on a date... Exactly. Well, how about some white stuff and... You know, make it look... Happy.

Sammy: Baby's Breath.

Jason Gideon: Okay, great. Sorry! I don't know what else, whatever looks good. So what do you need?

Aaron Hotchner: I got a request from safe guard for personnel files on certain agents.

Jason Gideon: So it's an annual evaluation. Who cares?

Aaron Hotchner: It's 6 months early, Jason. It's not a routine evaluation. I think it's an assessment of the B.A.U. They're redistributing funds, they're making cuts in all departments.

Jason Gideon: So what are they going to take, the jet? I prefer trains anyway.

Aaron Hotchner: Well, I think we may lose more than that. It's been a hard year for us, Jason. You know. What happened to Morgan in Chicago. We both know about Reid's issues. Elle Greenaway's suspect killed. It all adds up.

Jason Gideon: To what?

Aaron Hotchner: The only file they didn't request was mine.

Jason Gideon: $30? What, are you kidding me?

Sammy: You should have seen the price of the roses.

Jason Gideon: Oh, Lord. Thanks. Hey, Hotch, you're the best unit chief I know.

Aaron Hotchner: Jason, I'm the only unit chief you know.

Jason Gideon: Look, you need a break. Go home, kiss your family, and... Impossible.

Aaron Hotchner: What?

Jason Gideon: I thought I...I thought-never mind.

Aaron Hotchner: We both need a break. Jason?

Jason Gideon: Yeah?

Aaron Hotchner: Button Mums are something you give your mother.

Jason Gideon: Yeah. Good night.

Aaron Hotchner: Good night. Have fun.

----------

Jason Gideon: Sarah, sorry I'm so late. I got caught up at the office.

Frank Breitkopf: What is your fascination with birds, Jason?

Jason Gideon: Who is this?

Frank Breitkopf: Paintings of birds, etchings of birds, books about birds.

Jason Gideon: Frank, please. Please don't hurt her.

Frank Breitkopf: Birders can be extremely single-minded in their pursuits. Almost... Obsessional.

Jason Gideon: She's innocent. She's somebody I knew a long time ago.

Frank Breitkopf: Are you obsessional, Jason? Do you lie awake at night and think about the... Bird that got away?

Jason Gideon: Please, Frank. Please don't involve her.

Frank Breitkopf: Have you seen my Jane lately, Jason? I know she came here, to Washington... To find you.

Jason Gideon: Frank...

Frank Breitkopf: I want her back.

----------

Jason Gideon: “I choose my friends for their good looks my acquaintances for their good characters my enemies for their good intellects.” Oscar Wilde.

----------

Erin Strauss: I've never seen you like this.

Aaron Hotchner: You have not seen what I've seen.

Erin Strauss: You chose the B.A.U.

Aaron Hotchner: True. I enjoy my work. Even when in the pursuit to understand why... A person feels the compelling need to brutally torture, murder and dismember a child, mother or father, an entire family. The unsubs, devoid of any morality, humanity, remorse when caught, often come to believe that we're the only ones who understand them. And they're right. We do. Otherwise... How could we catch them?

Erin Strauss: Tell me what happened Friday... After agent Gideon called you.

----------

Aaron Hotchner: About 7:15, I got a page requesting the B.A.U. at 181 Arthur Street, Agent Gideon's apartment.

Derek Morgan: Hotch. Where's Gideon?

Aaron Hotchner: I called his cell. It's right there. It seems he left in a hurry.

Derek Morgan: P.D. Thinks he did this?

Aaron Hotchner: They have 6 witnesses who saw him running down the street, covered in blood, wielding a gun.

Derek Morgan: Okay, he was probably chasing the son of a bitch who did do this.

Aaron Hotchner: Either way, we're under strict orders not to get in the way of the investigation. Gideon's a suspect, we're his colleagues.

Jennifer Jareau: Conflict of interest. There's no way they'll ask for our help.

Aaron Hotchner: Which he needs badly right now.

Derek Morgan: Well, who spoke to him last?

Aaron Hotchner: I did, about 2 hours ago.

Spencer Reid: What did he say?

Aaron Hotchner: He said he was late for a date.

Derek Morgan: Do we even know who she is?

Aaron Hotchner: An old school friend. We're conflicted out of the investigation. We're just here to answer questions the M.P.D might have, so we need to assess what we can while we can.

Spencer Reid: Evisceration of the torso, removal of various organs, the guy's clearly a sexually sadistic psychopath.

Emily Prentiss: He's well-versed with a scalpel. He's done this before. We need to at least get photos.

Aaron Hotchner: J.J., Your cell phone- get as many as you can as quickly as you can. Get them to Garcia.

----------

Penelope Garcia: Oh, J.J... It's Friday night. The cute guy from counterterrorism... 3 cocktails in, I am looking at second base, so this better be good.

Jennifer Jareau: It's far from good.

Penelope Garcia: Where are you?

Jennifer Jareau: Gideon's apartment.

----------

Aaron Hotchner: No sign of forced entry. Why?

Derek Morgan: Everything is as it was… Nothing has been disturbed… Wine poured but not drank. The victim simply let the assailant in. And why wouldn't she? She was waiting for Gideon. It's his home. Forensics won't find any defensive wounds. Why? Because she didn't defend herself. She couldn't. He came here looking for Gideon and he found her. Now, he knew he didn't have a lot of time, but... Here she is, and here he stands- a sexual sadist. A psychopath with the need to kill just as natural as his need to breathe.

Emily Prentiss: He moved swiftly, every stroke of his blade exact, from lower torso to throat. She was awake the entire time, until mercifully she passed away. The toxicology report will find high levels of ketamine in her blood. He opened her up, removed her lower-right rib bone, which is missing.

Derek Morgan: Prentiss, left hand.

Emily Prentiss: That looks like part of the rib bone.

----------

Jane: It was a gift. It's human rib bones.

----------

Derek Morgan: Frank's back.

Spencer Reid: If this is who we think it is, he took the rib bones as gifts to give to Jane.

Emily Prentiss: And yet this one he gave back to Sarah. Why?

Aaron Hotchner: It's not for Sarah, it's for us. It's a message.

----------

Penelope Garcia: What is that?

----------

Emily Prentiss: We need to tell the police what we found.

Aaron Hotchner: Wait.

Emily Prentiss: For what?

Derek Morgan: If we know anything about Frank, he wouldn't have left a trace of his DNA in here.

Aaron Hotchner: There are a number of ways this scene could be interpreted, and all of them could indicate Gideon.

Derek Morgan: As long as Frank's out there, we can't afford to stop and explain any of it.

Spencer Reid: Last time he did all of this for Jane.

Aaron Hotchner: Well, things seem to have changed dramatically.

Emily Prentiss: Maybe she's dead. They had a lovers' quarrel and he killed her?

Spencer Reid: If he came here looking for Gideon, maybe he found him.

Derek Morgan: Let's go find out where Gideon went.

----------

Aaron Hotchner: Hello? Hello? Who is this?

Jason Gideon: I nearly had him.

Aaron Hotchner: Where are you?

Jason Gideon: I saw him walking off down the street. He was just- just walking. He dropped something in the trash out in the street. I couldn't get a clean shot. The streets were too crowded.

Aaron Hotchner: Was Jane with him?

Jason Gideon: No. But I saw her when I was talking to you. I saw her in the street seconds before he called me.

Aaron Hotchner: He called you?

Jason Gideon: He came after me. He came to my home.

Aaron Hotchner: Then he's out of his comfort zone, in a big city with feds who know what he looks like.

Jason Gideon: It's my fault. It's me he wanted. And if I hadn't been late... She'd still be alive… He butchered her, Hotch.

Aaron Hotchner: Jason...

Jason Gideon: I'm coming in.

Aaron Hotchner: No. Do that and this investigation moves inside an interrogation room. And by the time the cops catch up, we're going to be looking at more dead bodies.

Jason Gideon: Right.

Aaron Hotchner: He's going to change who he goes after. He has to.

Jason Gideon: I know.

Aaron Hotchner: We know who Frank is. We don't know the why. You help us find out the why and we'll catch him.

Jason Gideon: For that I'm going to need my files.

Aaron Hotchner: I'll have Garcia bring them to you. You find some place quiet where you can work. And, Jason... We'll get him.

----------

Derek Morgan: Frank had to have come out the same way down this street. If they saw Gideon, they saw Frank.

Emily Prentiss: Well, we know Frank will do whatever it takes to blend in and not stand out.

Derek Morgan: Well, to avoid attracting attention, he would have simply walked calmly out of that crime scene.

Spencer Reid: The evisceration of Sarah, though, means he would have been soaked in her blood.

Emily Prentiss: No, he had access to Gideon's closet. He cleans up, gets a change of clothes, he's out.

Derek Morgan: Yet he left no trace of evidence at the crime scene.

Aaron Hotchner: Gideon said he dumped it en route.

Emily Prentiss: You spoke with Gideon?

Derek Morgan: Where is he, Hotch?

Aaron Hotchner: He's safe.

Emily Prentiss: Well, that's all the proof we need, right? We can turn him over to the M.P.D now.

Aaron Hotchner: By the time this comes back from the lab, Frank's long gone.

Derek Morgan: If the cops find out we're hiding evidence and a material witness from them-

Aaron Hotchner: We're not hiding evidence. We'll give this to forensics, let them search for DNA. We'll look for Frank.

Boy: Agent Morgan?

Emily Prentiss: What the hell?

Boy: They say beauty can cover a multitude of sins.

Derek Morgan: What?

Boy: But underneath it all... We all look exactly the same.

Derek Morgan: That's Frank. He said that to me in the diner.

Boy: Give me Jane or I'll kill them all.

Derek Morgan: Frank thinks we have Jane?

Aaron Hotchner: We need to find her fast.

Boy: Can I have my 10 bucks now?

----------

Penelope Garcia: Nervous whistles, stop it. Stop it, Everything is... Everything cool, Garcia. Gorgeous tech kitten found in lonely... Dark parking lot. Throat slashed, ear to ear… Horrific. Tragic… With the very files of one of the most prolific serial killers ever. Tonight he remains at large, the blood of Quantico's finest… Oh, god! Oh, my god!

Jason Gideon: Drive.

Penelope Garcia: Right. Drive, yes, drive. Drive where?

Jason Gideon: Just drive.

Penelope Garcia: Just drive, just drive.

----------

Aaron Hotchner: Gideon saw Jane just before Frank called him. If we find Jane, we'll find Frank.

Emily Prentiss: Last time we found Frank, he outsmarted us.

Derek Morgan: He took a busload of children hostage. He gave us no options.

Aaron Hotchner: He's not going to give us any now.

Spencer Reid: Frank's message- he said, I'll kill them all. Who's he referring to?

----------

Emily Prentiss: J.J.?

Jennifer Jareau: Hey, uh, Gideon had a book, a black leather-bound book. Garcia discovered something. It looks like the first page has been ripped out. You can only really see what's left on the side of the page, but it's definitely Gideon's handwriting. Looks like some kind of a list.

Aaron Hotchner: It's his murder book.

Emily Prentiss: Murder book?

Aaron Hotchner: When he opens it to the first page, it reminds him why he does what he does.

Spencer Reid: It's a list of all the people he's ever saved. Names, dates, personal details.

Aaron Hotchner: And now Frank has the list.

Spencer Reid: Frank said, "I'll kill them all." That's who he's going after.

Derek Morgan: Yeah, at least the ones he can get to, the ones that are nearby.

Aaron Hotchner: J.J., start locating all the possible targets. We need to call them and warn them.

Jennifer Jareau: Got it.

Derek Morgan: Do we tell Gideon?

Aaron Hotchner: Absolutely not. We need to find out who Frank is first.

----------

Samuel: I'm sorry for your loss, Jason. Truly.

Penelope Garcia: Thank you very much for doing this. You're a good friend.

Samuel: Security knows you're here. Take care of him.

Penelope Garcia: I grabbed everything I could find pertaining to the case.

Jason Gideon: Turdus polyglottus. Mockingbird. They've provided insights into the origin of syntax. Essential first steps into the evolution of human language… If we stand any chance of stopping him, we need to understand the evolution of Frank… What created him.

----------

Jennifer Jareau: Took these from Gideon's office.

Aaron Hotchner: What about Jane?

Jennifer Jareau: I gave photos of Jane and Frank to all media outlets, and I'm liaising with Washington M.P.D.

Aaron Hotchner: J.J., if you locate her, make sure we're the first to interrogate her. Don't let P.D. get to her.

Derek Morgan: Is that wise?

Aaron Hotchner: No, but it is an order. Whatever you do, bring her here first. She's the only one who knows who Frank is.

Spencer Reid: So far we've narrowed it down to 9 possible targets.

Emily Prentiss: Their contact details are in the files. Everybody grab a phone. Let's start calling.

----------

Rebecca Bryant: 5 sugars.

Frank Breitkopf: I have a sweet tooth.

Rebecca Bryant: Thank you for coming, but it really wasn't necessary.

Frank Breitkopf: We at the B.A.U like to follow up on our victims.

----------

Spencer Reid: She's in the basement downstairs!

Rebecca Bryant: Is the house on fire?

Spencer Reid: Rebecca!

Rebecca Bryant: Get me out of here. Hurry!

Derek Morgan: Let's go, we've got no time.

----------

Rebecca Bryant: I try not to think of myself as a victim.

Frank Breitkopf: That's good. Very healthy. A sound strategy… Oh, my, this is perfect.

Rebecca Bryant: I am glad to get a chance to personally thank you.

Frank Breitkopf: You wrote me this lovely letter. I keep it at home.

Rebecca Bryant: You were t only member of the team I didn't get a chance to meet face to face, Agent Gideon.

Frank Breitkopf: Please, call me Jason… Did you know recent studies into female rape victims found that a high proportion of them later in life are raped again?

Rebecca Bryant: No, I wasn't raped.

Frank Breitkopf: It's almost as if they emit a kind of... Signal.

Rebecca Bryant: But I wasn't raped.

Frank Breitkopf: But you are on a list.

Rebecca Bryant: A list?

Frank Breitkopf: A list of lives saved. How were you saved, Rebecca? What happened to you?

Rebecca Bryant: What happened?

Frank Breitkopf: Your letter was so... Nonspecific.

Rebecca Bryant: But don't you…

Frank Breitkopf: Were you afraid? I've never felt the feeling of fear. Apparently I'm... Incapable… Tell me, Rebecca. What's it feel like- fear?

Rebecca Bryant: I should get that.

Frank Breitkopf: Saved by the bell.

----------

Rebecca Bryant: Hello?

Jennifer Jareau: Rebecca Brian? Hi, this is Jennifer Jareau with the FBI.

Rebecca Bryant: He's not agent Gideon, is he?

Jennifer Jareau: Excuse me?

Aaron Hotchner: Rebecca, this is agent Hotchner. If you can, very calmly excuse yourself and get out of the house. Can you do that?

Jennifer Jareau: Rebecca, just calmly hang up, walk to your door, and leave. Okay? Rebecca?

Rebecca Bryant: What's going on?

Jennifer Jareau: Rebecca...

Aaron Hotchner: Rebecca? Rebecca?

Frank Breitkopf: Hi, I regret to inform you that Rebecca's name should be moved to a new list.

Aaron Hotchner: Frank, we don't have her. We do not have Jane.

Frank Breitkopf: I will not stop until I have her back.

Aaron Hotchner: Frank... Frank!

----------

Aaron Hotchner: FBI! Clear.

Emily Prentiss: Clear.

Derek Morgan: Hotch... Nothing could have stopped this.

Emily Prentiss: Guys... We've got a note from Frank. 7 A.M. Union Station.

Spencer Reid: All 8 other targets on that list are safe and accounted for.

Aaron Hotchner: Then we've missed someone or something. Now that he's set a meeting-

Derek Morgan: He's going to raise the stakes. Just like he did last time. He's going to make it impossible for us to not trade Jane for whoever he's got.

Aaron Hotchner: Yeah, J.J?

Jennifer Jareau: I think I found Jane. The beat cops picked up a woman who was ranting and raving about needing to talk to the B.A.U. She, uh, assaulted one of the police officers. She's being processed as we speak.

Derek Morgan: So what have we missed?

Spencer Reid: Frank's incapable of experiencing normal feelings.

Derek Morgan: Yeah, but he takes what normal people hold sacred.

Emily Prentiss: Children.

Aaron Hotchner: J.J., I'm going to have Prentiss call you to find out where to pick up Jane. We'll all meet back at the B.A.U. I'm going to wait for the crime scene unit.

Jennifer Jareau: I heard you. He's going after children now.

Aaron Hotchner: I also need you to look at relocations, anything involving children. Families that have moved into the D.C. area since the case.

Jennifer Jareau: I'm on it.

----------

Penelope Garcia: This is hopeless. We don't even know Frank's surname.

Jason Gideon: But we do know the only person ever to survive abduction by Frank.

Penelope Garcia: Jane. He fell in love with her.

Jason Gideon: Oh, he was a psychopath. He's incapable of emotionally bonding with anyone. Yet he was prepared to risk everything to have her. Amongst all those he killed there has to be one constant one repetitious act, a break from pattern… One he's probably not even aware of.

----------

Jane: If they don't come soon, somebody's going to get hurt!

Jen: If you don't shut the hell up, you'll get hurt.

Jane: I would like to leave now! I don't want to be here. Hello? Hello? Excuse me!

Jen: Bitch, shut it.

Jane: Please, I don't want to be in here!

Jen: Shut the hell up or I'll do it for you. Shut up! Shut up!

Guard: Hey, knock it off!

Emily Prentiss: Jane.

Jen: Come in here and get this mouthy bitch out of here.

Emily Prentiss: Back off! Agent Prentiss, FBI.

Jen: FBI?

Emily Prentiss: Do you remember me? From Nevada?

Jane: I asked for agent Gideon.

Emily Prentiss: We know. We'll bring you to him.

Jane: I told you! Agent Gideon's right, you know. Frank, he can't feel love. He wants to, but he can't. He's coming for me, you know?

Spencer Reid: He's already here.

----------

Jennifer Jareau: Tracey Belle.

Aaron Hotchner: Hotchner.

Jennifer Jareau: Hotch, Tracey Belle and her family relocated to McLean, Virginia, 8 months ago. It-it's her, Hotch. She's the only one who's unaccounted for.

----------

Derek Morgan: FBI!

Aaron Hotchner: Get the unit crime scene team.

Mr. Belle: That's my house.

Aaron Hotchner: Mr. Belle?

Mrs. Belle: You have to let us in. My daughter's in there.

Aaron Hotchner: You can't go in right now.

Mrs. Belle: Where's Tracey? Where is she?

Aaron Hotchner: What's important to know right now is Tracey is alive, okay? Your daughter's alive-

Derek Morgan: Sir-sir! She's not in there. She's not in there.

Aaron Hotchner: I promise you we will find her, and she's going to be fine.

Mrs. Belle: No, no, no...

Mr. Belle: It's okay.

Mrs. Belle: No, no, no. No...

----------

Jane: Did I do the right thing by coming here?

Emily Prentiss: Yes, you did the right thing. Please, sit down.

Jane: Is that my bag?

----------

Derek Morgan: Tell us something good, Reid.

Spencer Reid: We have Jane.

Aaron Hotchner: That's good news.

Spencer Reid: Not entirely.

----------

Jane: Frank hasn't hurt anyone, has he? He wouldn't do that. Not while he has me.

Jennifer Jareau: He doesn't have you. We do.

Jane: He came after agent Gideon.

Emily Prentiss: Why did you leave Frank? What... Changed?

Jane: He did… Frank changed… He changed just like agent Gideon said. And he was so angry with agent Gideon because he knows Frank better than anyone else. And Frank knows that, too.

Aaron Hotchner: Frank wants agent Gideon to stop him, doesn't he?

Jane: Well, if anyone can, agent Gideon can.

Aaron Hotchner: Not without you, Jane.

Jane: What do you mean?

----------

Jason Gideon: Considering the 3 factors of determined behaviour- bio, psycho, social...

Penelope Garcia: Sir?

Jason Gideon: First, biology. Genetics gave him the predisposition. Add to that the second factor, psychology. Clearly a psychopath.

Penelope Garcia: Okay.

Jason Gideon: That's the filter through which he experiences his environment. Finally, socialization life experiences. Like all of us, he's a complicated manifestation of all 3.

Penelope Garcia: So you put that all together and...

Jason Gideon: Think of Frank as a living murder weapon. His genetics load the gun, his psychology aims it, the environment pulls the trigger. That's why his victims are so important. We study them… They reflect back on him.

Penelope Garcia: Okay. He killed mostly women. Since he used a trailer, their occupations, locations, and ages are all over the place.

Jason Gideon: Plot out the ages.

Penelope Garcia: Um, he killed 43 in their 50s, 51 in their 40s, 64 in their 30s, and 12 in their 20s.

Jason Gideon: 12?

Penelope Garcia: Is that odd?

Jason Gideon: Precedent tells us the number of victims should rise as the age falls… So it's a break from pattern. Why?

Penelope Garcia: He wasn't attracted to them. No, that doesn't make any sense because he doesn't feel attraction or love.

Jason Gideon: No, no, no, no. You're onto something.

Penelope Garcia: That's great, I don't know what.

Jason Gideon: Who was the only victim he didn't kill?

Penelope Garcia: Jane. She was 22 when Frank first abducted her.

Jason Gideon: And through the years he kept on coming back. Kept visiting her, bringing her gifts, making sure she was okay… Mother protects her children… In Frank's case, it was vice versa.

Penelope Garcia: He didn't kill Jane because he sees her as his mother.

----------

Aaron Hotchner: Tell me about Frank. Where's he from?

Jane: Manhattan.

Aaron Hotchner: Manhattan? You sure?

Jane: Yes, I'm sure! He talked about it all the time. He told me where he lived and how he grew up, everything. He wanted me to know everything.

Jennifer Jareau: Did he ever say where in Manhattan?

Jane: He lived with his mother. She was German. Breitkopf. Mary Breitkopf. And Frank never knew his father.

Emily Prentiss: So he uses his mother's name?

Jane: And she would take him every Sunday to the fair on Long Island. He talked about her constantly. And they would have dinner parties, and-and Frank would dress up, and he would be the barman, and he would serve all the guests... Cocktails.

Jennifer Jareau: Jane, when you were with Frank, did he ever hurt anyone else?

Jane: Being on the run can be very romantic, you know.

Emily Prentiss: Did Frank try to kill anyone else?

Jane: Is it wrong?

Emily Prentiss: Is what wrong?

Jane: Loving Frank?

Emily Prentiss: Uh, you don't choose who you fall in love with.

Aaron Hotchner: Maybe you thought you could change him. And you did, too, for a time.

Jane: Yes.

Aaron Hotchner: Until the desire to kill overwhelmed him. And you saw that, didn't you, Jane? You saw it in him.

Jane: Yes.

Emily Prentiss: Who did he try to kill?

Jane: Me. But he stopped himself. We had an argument... And I screamed at him, and I said that Gideon was right and he became so angry… And I had to run here. But as long as he's trying to find me, he won't kill again.

Aaron Hotchner: He has already.

Jennifer Jareau: And he's not going to stop until he gets you back.

Jane: Oh.

Emily Prentiss: I'm sorry.

----------

Penelope Garcia: Got it. Thanks, Hotch… Mother's name is Mary Breitkopf from Manhattan.

Jason Gideon: Wait… The diner.

----------

Waitress: Adam and Eve on a raft, sink them, and a strawberry shake for the gentleman at table 8. Ah, finally, you walk into my life.  What took you so long, handsome? Honey?

Jason Gideon: Mind if I sit here?

Frank Breitkopf: Please.

----------

Jason Gideon: He was obsessed with facts.

----------

Frank Breitkopf: Recent record lows have sent desert floor temperatures plummeting into single digits.

----------

Jason Gideon: He said something about Manhattan.

----------

Frank Breitkopf: 1,5 million people inhabit Manhattan. Did you know that? I read about a woman whose body was found in her apartment…

----------

Jason Gideon: Upper east side… That was the only thing he said that genuinely seemed to move him. He was talking about his mother.

Penelope Garcia: Mary Breitkopf.

Jason Gideon: He said his parents named him Frank.

----------

Frank Breitkopf: I'm Frank. Germanic, third century...

----------

Jason Gideon: Third century. Derived from the name of a type of spear.

----------

Frank Breitkopf: I wonder what aspirations...

----------

Jason Gideon: My parents had for me… German mother, probably immigrated to this country in the fifties. If he likens Jane to his mother...

Penelope Garcia: Then she must have been in her late teens when she arrived in Manhattan… I've got 3 Mary Breitkopfs living in upper east side during the fifties and sixties.

Jason Gideon: Jane said she was a lawyer.

Penelope Garcia: No lawyers here. A 52-year-old Mary Louise Breitkopf. She died of cancer, 1973. Tailor's assistant. Mary Breitkopf, nurse. Killed in a traffic accident. Mary Breitkopf...

Jason Gideon: What?

Penelope Garcia: This Mary Breitkopf was arrested... 63 times.

Jason Gideon: What for?

Penelope Garcia: Solicitation. She was a hooker.

Jason Gideon: Is she deceased?

Penelope Garcia: Uh, no. No death certificate. Uh, she's alive and living in Manhattan.

Jason Gideon: Search for a story involving a woman found dead in her apartment- dead for over a year Upper east side, Manhattan.

Penelope Garcia: Zip. Nothing.

Jason Gideon: So it never happened. Frank's been hiding her existence from everyone. Why?

----------

Penelope Garcia: Yeah?

Aaron Hotchner: Garcia, get me Jason. I have someone who wants to talk to him.

Penelope Garcia: It's for you.

Jason Gideon: Yeah?

Tracey Belle: Jason?

Jason Gideon: Who's this?

Tracey Belle: It's Tracey Belle.

Frank Breitkopf: Go ahead, Tracey. It's okay.

Tracey Belle: Please, Mr. Gideon... You saved me once. Don't you remember?

Jason Gideon: Of course I remember you. How could I ever forget you? Tracey, everything's going to be all right.

Tracey Belle: Please, I'm scared. I just want my mommy. Please. Please!

Frank Breitkopf: Jason.

Jason Gideon: You son of a bitch. I swear to you I will find you and I will stop you.

Frank Breitkopf: Jason. I chose e station because I know how much you love trains. I saw the toys in your apartment.

Penelope Garcia: I- I can't trace that call. It wasn't long enough, and even if it was, I-I can't triangulate it um, what do you want me to do? Talk to me, please. Tell me what I can-

Jason Gideon: Call Hotch. Read that to him. He'll know what to do.

Penelope Garcia: What are you going to do?

Jason Gideon: End this.

----------

Derek Morgan: Anybody got eyes on the target?

Aaron Hotchner: Nothing.

Emily Prentiss: Did Gideon say where he was going?

Aaron Hotchner: He'll be here.

Emily Prentiss: In what capacity?

Aaron Hotchner: What's that supposed to mean?

Emily Prentiss: As an agent or an executioner?

Agent: 12 o'clock. Platform 11. Target. Target east side. I have eyes on the target, and I have a clear shot. Over.

Aaron Hotchner: We're about to find out.

----------

Aaron Hotchner: Hold your fire. I repeat, hold your fire. There are civilians on the platform.

Derek Morgan: Let's go! Go! Back, all of you back off! We need you out of here!

----------

Apartment Super: It's right this way.

Jennifer Jareau: Whoa, hey. No matter what happens this time, we don't split up, clear?

Spencer Reid: Crystal clear.

----------

Aaron Hotchner: Frank.

Frank Breitkopf: Agent Hotchner, we haven't had the pleasure of a formal meeting.

Aaron Hotchner: Where's Tracey Belle?

Frank Breitkopf: Do you have something for me?

Aaron Hotchner: No, I don't.

Frank Breitkopf: Then you'll never see her again.

Aaron Hotchner: Go ahead and bring her in.

Frank Breitkopf: Jane.

Aaron Hotchner: Where's Tracey, Frank?

----------

Jennifer Jareau: Wait here.

Apartment Super: Yes, ma'am.

----------

Frank Breitkopf: Did you think I wouldn't come looking for you?

Jane: You killed 2 innocent women.

Frank Breitkopf: Without you, I am lost.

Emily Prentiss: Tracey, Frank.

Frank Breitkopf: Not until we're safely away.

Jane: Stop it, Frank. I'm not coming.

Frank Breitkopf: It's you and me forever.

Jane: I can't go with you.

Frank Breitkopf: I will never be taken by these... People. And without you, I will not stop, not ever.

Jason Gideon: Sarah was a doctor. She was a mother of 3 boys.

Frank Breitkopf: Hello, Jason.

Jason Gideon: She worked and ran a treatment center for patients with terminal cancer.

Frank Breitkopf: Do you know the birder's term "twitching," Jason?

Jason Gideon: She dedicated her life to easing the pain of others.

Frank Breitkopf: The pursuit of a previously located rare bird.

Jason Gideon: You took the lives of hundreds. All because your mother was a whore?

Aaron Hotchner: Mary Louise Breitkopf, single mother, German immigrant lived on the upper east side of Manhattan. She gave birth to her only son, Frank Breitkopf, a bright but ultimately strange boy. A boy that only a mother could love. His needs were such that even the 3 jobs she worked didn't provide for this special child. A child she would not let out near the world and when she turned to the world oldest profession and the boy witnessed every single terrible visitation.

----------

Jason Gideon: You're not a rare bird, Frank. Nothing special about you. You're common, pedestrian... Boring.

Frank Breitkopf: Jane. This world, we don't fit in it. No one understands what we are.

Jason Gideon: Jane, he sees you as his mother. Nothing more, nothing less.

Frank Breitkopf: Have you ever been happier than when you've been with me?

Jane: Never.

Frank Breitkopf: Didn't we have fun?

----------

Frank Breitkopf: Jane!

----------

Jane: So much!

Frank Breitkopf: Come with me now. It doesn't have to end here.

Jason Gideon: Jane!

Frank Breitkopf: I love you.

Jane: I love you, too.

Jason Gideon: Jane, Jane! Jane!

----------

Aaron Hotchner: Hang on a second. I'm walking to him. Just one second. Here he is. It's for you.

Jason Gideon: Hello?

Tracey Belle: Agent Gideon?

Jason Gideon: Tracey.

Tracey Belle: I just wanted to call and thank you. Thank you.

Jason Gideon: You're welcome.

----------

Aaron Hotchner: Once again the team had battled a monster and won.

Erin Strauss: The future of the B.A.U. is not in the balance here. The residual impact as a result of the investigations into the crimes and criminals you pursue is… Every cause has its effect.

Aaron Hotchner: You think I don't know that?

Erin Strauss: I believe you are no longer effective in your post.

Aaron Hotchner: The modern furniture, the strategically placed magazines, the framed diplomas the art on the wall, are all in conflict with your family photos. You have 3 children, but you favour the middle one, your son.

Erin Strauss: What do you think you're doing?

Aaron Hotchner: Of course you love all your children but not like your son.

Erin Strauss: That's enough.

Aaron Hotchner: The bonsai you obsessively nurture is to compensate for feelings of failure as a mother.

Erin Strauss: Agent Hotchner, I said that is enough. My position is not in question here. As your superior, I am questioning your ability to lead your team.

Aaron Hotchner: My team? Let me tell you about my team… Agent Morgan fought to protect his identity from the very people who could save him, why? Because trust has to be earned, and there are very few people he truly trusts. Reid's intellect is a shield which protects him from his emotions and at the moment his shield is under repair. Prentiss overcompensates because she doesn't yet feel she's a part of the team. She needn't worry. Every day, agent Jareau fields dozens of requests for our team. And every night she goes home hoping she's made the right choices. Garcia fills her office with figurines and colour to remind herself to smile as the horrofills her screens. And agent Gideon, in many ways, is damned by his profound knowledge of others… Which is why he shares so little of himself, yet he pours his heart into every case we handle… I stand by my actions, and I stand by my team. And if you think that you can find a better person for the job, good luck.

Erin Strauss: Agent Hotchner.

Aaron Hotchner: How do I know you favour your son?

Erin Strauss: I'm good at my job.

----------

Erin Strauss: I put you in the B.A.U. I knew how badly you wanted it. Everyone did. You were never exactly shy about letting us know. But there were those who didn't think assigning you to the B.A.U was a good idea. They thought you were too reckless. I believed in you, however… It's time to pay back the faith I had. Your team is in trouble… They've lost sight of the big picture. I believe they are reckless and at times out of control… It's time for agent Hotchner's career to come to an end… And if you want to stay in the B.A.U. Agent Prentiss you're going to help me make that happen.
